Where Do I Even Begin?

Wow. It has been so long since I've sat down and wrote! I had an upload error during uploading all of my summer pictures, and lost 3/4 of them, and was devastated. I didn't stop crying because they automatically deleted, and weren't able to get backed up. Thankfully, I found a nice & smart man named William, and he repaired my card! Now my pictures are backed up on three different devices and I'm one happy camper.

We were able to have all of Tanner's summer break together as I was in between jobs, and it was the best time together. Four weeks non stop being together was really what we needed after that rough first year!

We started off the break in Arizona (I don't know why we always decide to go in the summer...) and it was great to hang with family. I really wanted to do some fun things with Tanner as a family that we haven't had time to do before. Usually we go for a quick weekend or for a wedding or special occasion, and don't have a ton of time to explore!

We started off the trip with dinner at Carolina's and a Diamondbacks game. Tanner was really worried about the baseball game in the afternoon. Little did he know Chase Field is awesome and Air Conditioned!

One of Tanners friends' was practice catcher for the Diamondbacks and the little boys thought Tanner was the coolest for knowing him.

If anyone knows my dad, you know he hates ANYTHING L.A., especially the Lakers and Dodgers, so sometimes I don't know how him and Tanner get along. :) I love to wear my hat in front of my dad because he goes on and on about L.A. fans, etc. It was fun to go to a game with those two teams though!

After the game a few of us went to Last Chance and scored (of course!), dined at our favorite restaurants, swam lots and lots, golfed, and visited with friends.

Growing up we had a cabin in Payson that my dad built. I was only 5 when it was built, so I really loved spending our weekends escaping the heat, and growing up there! We sadly sold it when I went to high school but it was a great time before the market crashed!

Flash forward a couple years, and the family that we sold it to now lives across from my parents currently- small world! I have always wanted to take the drive to Payson with Tanner, and when the Rogers (yes how funny that their family's last name is the same as my maiden!) heard word of this, they offered to let us go stay in cabin! Tanner and I drove the beautiful hour drive north, and I instantly had all of these memories on our drive! I couldn't stop talking!

We drove into the community, and our first stop was the club house. The music was playing, and the elk were roaming around not bothered by us. I showed him all of my favorite places in the community, and then we went "into town" for some dinner at the good ole Chilis! We then rented a redbox and had a good night in. It was actually kind of creepy feeling like the only ones in the woods in a big cabin.

The next morning we went for a hike at the Tonto Natural Bridge and it was SO beautiful! As we drove home we stopped at the market going on downtown Pine and it was such a cute town party!

After our long hike, we ate at the club and finished the day with my two favorites: Shirley temples, and bananas foster! :)

How to Shed Five Pounds Fast

You chop off 11.5 inches of your hair off, that's how. Man alive it is so freeing! I'm seriously loving my new chop and don't know if i'll ever go back to long hair! (Don't worry Tanner... I will eventually) Let's give three snaps to the husband who let's me change up my hair every year... I think i've done it all now, so who knows what will be next.... I'm thinking shaved sides and shades of pink, but we will see.

AnYwAyS.... I went to AZ last weekend! I had the most frantic experience getting to the airport in time...just think: downtown Oakland, and your driver friend having her map be to the Oakland temple not airport..oops!!!... I have never literally sprinted to my Southwest gate in hopes that I would make it to within the 15 minutes I had, but thank goodness I'm such a runner and made it in time.. (sarcastic, but I did in fact make it!) My momma and I enjoyed a late night dinner and custard at Nielsen's, and then watched a couple episodes of The Astronaut Wives Club (I watched the season in like 3 days).
My BFF Ashlie Larson (she works at Habit Salon and is theeee best: @ashlielarsonhair) did the honors to my hair, and I wish so badly she could be my everyday hair girl. Afterwards, all the gals in AZ went out to lunch and it was such a blast!

I wasn't even nervous during the initial cut!

I kept teasing Tanner with pictures like this...because I'm annoying...

Sorry for all the selfies guys..

That evening I got to go on a dinner date again with my momma to Sauce. My dad was golfing in Utah, and we were headed to Wicked! She originally got tickets for the oldest grandkids, but some of them had soccer games, so my one sister drove into town and we got to tag along! It was fun to all be home for the quick weekend.

The next day my sister and I did some shopping at the best TJ Maxx in America, and then we all played by the pool while the grandkids went crazy. That evening I went to the grand opening of The Soda Shop in Gilbert (Like the original Swig, or Sodalicious, but in AZ) and it was super fun to be with my girls! We went home and chatted that night, and I didn't get home until after 1! We felt like such party animals!

Photo booths are our jam.

And the whole night I was getting sent cute pictures of my husband watching the BYU game, holding some cutie, and making me want a baby. I meannnnn.

You would think never seeing your husband would make being away kinda easy, but it was hard! I missed him so much (I know...it was only three days) but I did!

I'm loving the new cut, and hoping I can continue to learn new ways to style and curl it!

A Double Wedding Weekend

At the end of May (I know, I know, but my computer has been broken!) I got to attend two of my best friends' weddings. Emily's was on Friday, and Mindy's was on Saturday. It was so fun to be with all of our friends one last time before we all move away.

We flew in on Tuesday, and started off the wedding week with Mindy's shower in my parents' pool house. It turned out super pretty, and we had a great turn out.

With my two brides!

The next morning I went with the bride and groom to get our nails done.

We also got to celebrate Shelley's birthday while we were there, so we got donuts and laid by the pool.

I'm also realizing how tan we were from Mexico...and now it's gone :(

Thursday night we had the rehearsal dinner in Emily's backyard, and it was the cutest Kansas BBQ finished with root beer floats!

The next afternoon was the temple sealing and reception, and it was so awesome being in the temple with so many of my friends!

After an evening of late night dancing, we had another wedding to prepare for that next afternoon. We had the luncheon at Tia Rosa's and it made up for how hot it was...

we called our table the "newlywed table" because it was most of the bridesmaids and husbands. The advice our table gave was: "Save water, shower together"...classic! I also had the opportunity of speaking at this luncheon, and Mindy and I have been best friends since Preschool, so not many words were shared...mostly just tears! #embarrassing

After the reception we went to Brimley's to play games. It was truly the last time we would all be together until who knows how long! (except the brides weren't invited...obviously) It was a good time, until we had to say goodbye!

It was such a fun week together in the heat!
