The Bench's Wedding

We went home to Mesa for a quick weekend, and it was spent celebrating the new Morgan and Mckay Bench! Although I don't know how I ever grew up in that heat, it was such a fun weekend. As you know, my parents moved, and it was so fun to see the house done, and be able to stay in MY new room! :)
Thursday night we went to dinner at Tia Rosa's (my parents like having me in town for the excuse of our favorite foods!) and just relaxed, and got used to my new surroundings. I seriously couldn't find the bedroom when we got home that night!
On Friday morning, my sweet mom treated me to a seriously needed pedicure. We then grabbed some salads at the Club (and I was able to get my favorite, a Shirley Temple), I was able to get my hair done by Ashlie (seriously wish either I was in Mesa or she was in Provo to be my stylist!), we ran a few errands, and then it was time for the Rehearsal Dinner!

She looked stunning as always, and so happy!

After some good times, Tanner and I changed and went to Emily's house to help with their early morning yard sale, and to snack on some peanut butter M&M's, and chat!

Saturday morning we had some breakfast at the club, and then we relaxed that afternoon. I was really planning on laying out, but I didn't want to get all sunscreeny and sweaty before the wedding, because lets be honest, you have to be submerged in the water 24/7 in AZ or you're doomed!

I didn't have makeup on, and this isn't the most flattering angle, but it was a beautiful morning!

The wedding was at the Mesa LDS temple, and it was performed at 3pm. It was blazin when we walked outside, but seeing the beautiful Mr. & Mrs. Bench sure made up for it!

Morg's new nephew Grant, in the cutest little bow tie!

They had their reception at a beautiful estate, and luckily we could sneak into the bride's room for some colder air. ;)

I didn't pick a great time to take pictures of everything outdoor, but it was hot, so I was in a hurry. It looked beautiful, and they did such a good job!

^^that was my favorite!

The wild flowers were seriously to die for.

Some of the maids!

Rissa's brothers helped serve ice cream, and it made me so excited to see her in August when she gets back from her mission!

We took some pretty pictures, and I love the bright colors (and my friends, of course)!

But seriously. Isn't Morgan Bench the prettiest bride you ever did see?!

 the whole party

I was so happy to see one of my life-long friends since elementary school, Haylee, and her precious Ruth. Isn't it fun seeing people from elementary and just reminiscing on life!? I love that girl to pieces, and I want a baby Ruth right now. I need her!

Bride's Room cool off/selfie time

So grateful that my hard working studier took time to be at the wedding with me! I know he wouldn't have missed it, but still, I'm just thankful for him, ok?!

Maids gettin wild.

After the night started ending, we realized we didn't have a picture with THE Bench's!

Another picture with my sweetie, because it was a beautiful night.

Then they left us, with a sparkler exit!

Then we jetted off on a plane Sunday morning at 7, and took naps when we got home! :) It was such a wonderful weekend, I wish it could have lasted longer!

Being parents

We babysat our cute niece last weekend! Although she threw up seven times within an hour of her parents leaving, we had fun!

There's nothing like taking care of a sweet, sick baby. I hate that they don't feel good! We were able to have a baby at church on Sunday, and everyone was jealous. :)

We enjoyed a Father's Day dinner, and feel so thankful to have the two best dads! (one each! :) )

Don't forget to enter my giveaway for a dozen macarons! This is NOT just for people who live in Utah, either! You won't regret it if you win! :)

Also, do me a solid and vote for me here? You have to like Axiom Financial's page first, and that's where I work. The two winners get gift cards to home depot, and I really want to get a fire pit for our backyard, so that we can have s'more parties! Because you can't just invite friends over to eat a s'more! ;)

Macaron by Brian GIVEAWAY

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.

French Macarons, a sandwich-like pastry, are something that everyone must try. I've had a deep love with them for a couple years now, and I gotta tell you, the ones that Brian makes are the best! They are so light and airy, and have just the right amount of cream in the middle. After weeks of hunting these guys down, I heard they would be at the Farmer's Market. I couldn't wait for Saturday so that I could give one a try!

But just in case you haven't had the amazing opportunity to try them and fulfill your tastebuds' life long dream, let me explain to you why you should. Many people (it's ok if you do, but next time, don't make this mistake) get these Macaron babies confused with Macaroons. It's an easy mistake, it really is. But, they don't even compare. Macaroons are typically a mound of shredded coconut dipped in chocolate, or with a cherry on top. Macarons are two almond meringue cookies sandwiching a buttercream filling, which come in virtually any color/flavor combination.

I've had a fun time looking up info graphics, and details on what the differences are. But, now that we've had our Baking 101 class, let's get down to business.

Macaron by Brian is a company based out of Provo, Utah. Brian started the business after "working for a local catering company and became obsessed with the French meringue cookie known as a macaron." He now has a booth all summer long at the Provo Farmer's Market, and you should really go check it out! They offer ever-changing flavors, and can even do custom orders for showers, birthdays, weddings, and more!

After stalking them for the last couple months on Instagram, we finally connected, and agreed to do a giveaway of a dozen macarons. I mean, really? Isn't that everyone's dream!? I'm so very excited for this, and wish I could win myself!

All you have to do is enter the Rafflecopter below, and the winner will be chosen at random. If you win, all you have to do is email them your order, and voila!-you get your very own custom box. If you are not in the state of Utah, I will gladly ship them to you, because you deserve these too! So go ahead and enter the Rafflecopter below, the more entries you do, the better chance you have. Then make sure you check out their website, to start planning which flavors you will choose!
This giveaway goes until June 24th.
Good luck!

A Friday Night Wedding

On Friday night Tanner and Madeline took the train up to me, I picked them up, and we met Andrew at our friends wedding. It was night full of fun! I loved spending time with my hubs, even though the second we got into the car, it was pure silent as he started studying the DAT again. #2moreweekswecandothis And, as I was shakin my booty on the dance floor, I noticed my boss at the wedding...so that was cool.

It was a beautiful backyard, and a perfect night for a wedding.
Congrats Brennan and Kelli!

We had street tacos and mexican sodas, so you can't go wrong with that!

Mads and Anj leave for Hawaii on Monday, and then we leave for trips, and when we get back we have one day until they're in Montana for the rest of the summer. Except, we will see them for one weekend when we visit them! But, we haven't had much time together since they got back from Europe, and I just love her. We always have the best time. So, of course we took a million and one pictures, especially with our favorite drinks.
And yes, they're the ultimate world travelers!

My #1 bud.

Love them!

We also had some fun in the photo booth...

And thennnn plenty of fun with...BUBBLES!

(they're going to kill me for that! ^^)

It was a fun, and delicious night, and I was so happy it was finally the weekend!
