Tanner is 26!

Tanner's birthday was on Saturday, and I jumped on the opportunity to get 49er's Pre-season tickets for the night before. Almost 30 of our friends were all at the game with us, and it was such a blast! I had this surprise planned for about a month, and no one told Tanner until the last couple days. I was so bummed, but it was still so fun!

The game was in Santa Clara, about an hour and a half away from the city, so we were so thankful for the friends that joined us!

On his actual birthday we slept in after getting home after 1:30 from the game, he went and played tennis with some of the boys, we went and got our favorite pastries at Mr. Holmes, I came home and finished his cake and scotcharoo treats, he then went golfing with those same friends, and then we went and had a picnic dinner in Hayes Valley with friends. The festivities hadn't even begun at this point! After dinner we had friends over for cake and ice cream, and I don't think we've ever had that many people at our apartment before! We counted about 14 at one point, and I felt so bad because I had just sold our dining room chairs so everyone was pretty much standing up! It was a good time though.

Tanner loves funfetti cake, and I've always wanted to try a "naked cake" without frosting on the outside. It was really fun to make something different, and I think it turned out messy and cute-just what I was going for!

I was joking to my friend saying that one year I accidentally bought trick candles and they wouldn't blow out. Little did I know that I moved with those same candles and Tanner got to blow out the candles about a million time! :)

Mindy happened to be in town that weekend, and it was so fun to have her! On Sunday while the boys worked and studied, we went to the Fortune Cookie Factory after church. It was a teeny tiny hole in the wall shop, but super fun to see how they are made, and we even made some of our own!

Kodi Comes to Visit

The day (technically very early morning) we got back to SF, my sister Kodi and husband Ryan came into town! Ryan had meetings all day, but Kodi and I were able to party lots!
We went to Mr. Holmes for breakfast, and spent the rest of the day at the SF Moma! It was so fun, and I'm glad she was here to go with me! We literally spent 5 hours in that place, it was awesome.

Ryan took us out on the company card for dinner both nights, and we always finished it off with ice cream at Bi-Rite. It was pretty much awesome!

Thankfully we got to see them just a week later in Carlsbad so it made the goodbye much easier, but now she's living in Indiana!!! :(

Rogers Girls Weekend

Back in MARCH us Rogers Girls met at Huntington Beach for a girls weekend. Our momma spoiled us so good we asked her to do a trip every year. :)  We stayed up late chatting, we shopped, ate SUCH good food, went to the spa and pool, and gave each other "favorite things" gifts. It was such a great weekend together, and of course it went by too quick!

I was sadly the last one to get in, and was delayed about six hours which was unfortunate since I was missing work. After switching my flight and getting into a different airport and many Uber rides later, I met them in the shoe department of Nordstrom. How convenient! After we shopped and got matching shoes, we went to P.F. Changs and and made a stop at Lemonade for a blood orange Lemonade (my fav). After that, we headed to the hotel, put on our house dresses, and opened our gifts. I love "favorite things" gifts because they have so much meaning, and you don't have to spend a ton!

The next morning Kodi and I went on a long run next to the beach. I say long, because we had spa appointments, and we realized we still had 2 miles back to the hotel when they were scheduled to be in 15 minutes. The specialists really loved how sweaty we were for our massage :/

After lounging at the spa and eating chocolate croissants in the hot tub room, we changed and had lunch poolside. After more relaxation we went to a movie, dinner, and got gelato and my favorite gelato shop in Laguna.

The next morning we went to church in Newport and then went to breakfast at the best spot (in my opinion) Plum's Cafe. We sadly had to go back to the hotel and pack up our stuff, but we made more rounds of shopping and a Sprinkle's trip before we left.

Thanks again mom!! And dad!!
